Hello! Welcome to Mrs Ricefield's blog.

I do a lot of things in my life and have many different roles - I'm a linguist, a mom to two awesome little girls, a Brazilian married to a Japanese now living in Portland, Oregon.

Painting, drawing, and crafting permeates every aspect of my life, and the drawings you see in the blog reflect this life. Drawing and painting give me the most satisfaction outside of my family, and being able to share some of what I do with you is the most fun I can think of.
